Founded in 2002 by a group of local guitarists and guitar enthusiasts, the
Bloomington Classical Guitar Society is a non-profit, community-benefit
organization (501 (c) (3)) dedicated to supporting and celebrating the art of
classical guitar in Bloomington and surrounding areas. Currently, our
activities include occasional meetings focused on specific educational topics,
a community Concert Series, master classes by Concert Series artists, and
outreach recitals performed by members of the Society. The BCGS Guitar
Ensemble rehearses every Thursday evening and new players are welcome.
